OMERS CoCreate

We will use the information collected in CoCreate interviews and surveys for research aimed at understanding and improving member experience, including the development of new concepts and services. Information may be shared with trusted third-party service providers engaged to assist with various research, but only for project purposes. Insights from your participation may also be anonymized and shared more broadly within OMERS to support improvements in our processes. Information will not be shared with unrelated third parties.

To ensure that we’re designing relevant research activities for our members, the CoCreate team has access to select member information, including contact details, demographics, and some transactional data through internal OMERS databases. We need up-to-date contact details to send invitations to participate in research activities, share follow-up information and thank members for participating. Our access to demographics and some transactional data provide us with a better understanding of who CoCreate members are, while enabling us to tailor research activities for specific groups of members.

At OMERS, we take the privacy of our members very seriously. We are careful to ensure that we only collect personal information required for study purposes. Information collected through OMERS CoCreate will be kept confidential and will be subject to the same high standards of information security that govern all your OMERS pension information. Outside of the research team, the results of surveys and interviews will be aggregated and will not be attributable to individual participants.

Your information will be stored securely for as long as it is required, in accordance with OMERS Information Management Guidelines regarding records retention. It may be combined with information from other studies but only for the purpose of improving the member experience. When the information is no longer required, we will permanently delete it from our systems.
